About Training Services
The Central Laboratory of Residue Analysis of Pesticides and Heavy Metals in Food has the pleasure to announce the plan of the Training Center affiliated to the Lab. This Training Center is considered to be one of the leading training centers in the field of food safety.

Training Center’s Vision
The Training Center projects to be a leader in the Arab world and Africa. Its objective is to develop the performance and skills of specialists in the fields of food safety in conformity with international standards.

Training Center’s Message
The training center contributes effectively to spread awareness of basics and norms of food safety. It raises the competence and efficiency of food analysts in order to control all stages of food handling. Furthermore, it achieves competitiveness through a selection of advanced training programs.

Training Center’s Objectives
The training center offers a variety of programs aimed at:
  • Developing specialists’ competence, skills and awareness of analysis methods conformal with international standards and specifications in the field of food safety
  • Identifying the latest equipment and standard methods of analysis used worldwide by accredited laboratories
  • Spreading awareness on how to design and develop various methods of analysis and good laboratory practices.

  • Specialists in the field of analysis and assurance of food safety
  • Managers and supervisors working quality departments in organizations related to industry, production or handling of food.

  • Fields of Training Programs

    Programs of Quality Management Systems and Food Safety Legislation:
  • Programs of laboratory efficiency, quality management systems in laboratories and laboratory accreditation according to requirements of ISO/IEC 17025: 2005.
  • Methodologies of sampling for determining pesticide residues in food in compliance with maximum limits.
  • Verification of methods of analysis and calculations of uncertainty in laboratory results.

  • Specialized Programs on Methods and Techniques of Analysis of Food Safety:
  • Analysis methods and techniques of heavy metals in food and environment samples using both AAS and ICP instruments
  • Analysis methods and techniques of mycotoxins in food samples using both HPLC and UPLC instruments
  • Analysis methods and techniques of food additives using HPLC
  • Analysis methods and techniques of vitamins in food samples using HPLC
  • Microbial testing and assessment methods and techniques in food and environment samples.

  • Instructors and experts
    Training is performed by a distinguished group of laboratory experts trained on the latest and international standard equipment and techniques. They hold international certifications in the fields of analysis, quality control and quality assurance tests.

    Organizing training programs
    Schedule: Lectures begin at 10am until 5pm.

    Language used in the session: Presentations are made in English or Arabic according to the needs of the trainee.

    Services and Training Equipment
  • Lectures: Training classrooms are air conditioned and provided with equipment internal network. They are connected to the internet and equipped with Data Show for presentations
  • Practical training sessions: They are taking place within equipped labs of the department
  • Offers for trainees: Printed scientific materials - hospitality meals during coffee breaks – Achievement certificate the end of the training program – DVD on training subjects
  • Reception at the airport and drive to the hotel - Same transportation upon return - daily transportation to and from lab
  • Optional assistance in hotel reservation.

  • Subscription fees
    Training fees are to be paid in US dollars for foreigners and Egyptian pounds for Egyptians.
    (You are kindly requested to pay the training fees before the beginning of the training program).
