The Central Committee for Pesticide Residues and the Chamber of Food Industries sign a cooperation protocol to serve the food industry sector in Egypt

The Central Laboratory for the analysis of pesticides and heavy metals residues in foods (Q-CAP), represented by Prof. Dr. Hind Abd al-Lah – director of the laboratory, and the Chamber of Food Industries, represented by Eng. Mahmoud al-Basiouni – Executive Director of the Chamber, with the signing of a cooperation protocol between the two parties. The director of the laboratory said that this comes in implementation of the directives and assignments of the Minister of Agriculture and Land Reclamation, to expand the services provided by the laboratory to serve the largest segment of customers, to emphasize the quality of food and preserve the health of citizens, pointing out that this protocol aims to provide various laboratory services from Training, analytical services, technical consultations and cooperation in other areas such as conducting market research, conducting joint research projects, holding conferences, workshops and seminars in cooperation between the two parties for the benefit of the members of the Chamber.
The two parties have agreed to activate the provisions of the protocol above his expectation to serve this large sector and contribute to the development of the country’s national economy.
Abd Allah announced that the factory is striving to provide its services to all different sectors, and the food industry sector in particular, with the highest quality and lowest cost, in a way that contributes to the development of small entities in this sector.
It is worth noting that the Chamber of Food Industries is a non-profit organization established in 1958. It is considered the official representative of the Egyptian food industries and is under the umbrella of the Federation of Egyptian Industries. It provides many services that contribute to enhancing the competitive capabilities of its members in the internal and external markets. In addition, the Chamber works to protect and care for the interests of the Chamber’s members with government agencies, as well as conduct the necessary studies and provide solutions and proposals for all government agencies and ministries to overcome obstacles to the development of the food and beverage industry in Egypt.
